How to talk to Mamas? a newsletter-making workshop

Our mamas were kind and welcoming, but not easy to agree on taking photographs. As we were walking door-to-door around the homes of Harare, we found very friendly Mamas who listened to us and asked questions about the Mama Watch project. Yet few were willing to be photographed. They don't know us.

So we'll try to approach the section committee, in order to get the support of Harare residents. As we are waiting for a meeting to be set, we are preparing a catchy flyer to tell the story of Mama Watch project short and sharp. The challenge has developed into a mini workshop on newspaper layout and editing. Soon to be published!

Thank you to Hubspace Khayelitsha for hosting our session; Moholo LiveHouse for lunch; and Brenda Skelenge for connecting us to the committee
